Syllabus:

In this course students will build further knowledge and practical skills in anaesthesia and analgesia in a range of domestic, domesticated and wildlife species. The rotation will provide experience in the evaluation, anaesthesia and recovery of different animals within high quality small and large animal facilities as well as in field situations where appropriate . Pain management both acute and chronic will be a significant part of the rotational experience. Five categories of essential day one competencies will assessed during the rotation. Rotations will consist of clinical activities, tutorials, case-based discussions and assignments, and self-learning. Some weekend and out of hours work will be expected within the rotation.
