Please note that Modern Greek is taught by Flinders University staff as part of an arrangement between the two Universities. Classes are held at the University of Adelaide North Terrace Campus. This topic introduces students to various themes of Greek history from antiquity through to Modern times. Themes examined are: the Minoan and Cycladic civilisation, the Odyssey and the Iliad, the development of the City State, Alexander the Great, the rise and fall of the Byzantine Empire, Greece under Turkish rule and Greece during the 20th Century. |
