Syllabus:

This course provides a space in which students can practice skills used in CBL, MPPD and Clinical Practice. The emphasis is on effective communication, essential to the successful practice of medicine. This includes exploring the impact of culture on communication - what makes some situations difficult to manage? What strategies do you use to ensure you have your say in CBL? MBBS students have access to this Academic Language and Learning in Medicine program. It is designed for international students but is open to all students, regardless of language and cultural background. Delivery of the program is in small group sessions.
