Please note that Modern Greek is taught by Flinders University staff as part of an arrangement between the two Universities. Classes are held at the University of Adelaide North Terrace Campus. In this course, students consider themes relating to Greek or Cypriot culture and society as illustrated in a selection of authentic written, aural and/or visual texts. Students may be offered a choice of monographic studies relating to contemporary or earlier texts. Regular offerings include Asia Minor: from antiquity through to modern times, Cyprus: history and tradition, From the Point of View of Alexandria, Greek Mythology: Gods, Heroes and Mortals, Modern Greek literature, Greek Migration to Australia.
