Students are introduced to useful theoretical and analytical frameworks that are crucial to understanding the opportunities and risks derived from the political, economic, social, technological and institutional environment of countries. The course also reviews aspects of global institutions, such as the World Trade Organization (WTO) and International Monetary Fund (IMF), which set global rules that profoundly affect business strategy and human welfare.
