Stanley Kubrick is one of the great filmmakers of the Twentieth Century, and one of the great adaptors of literary work for the screen. His film include Paths of Glory, Spartacus, Lolita, Dr Strangelove, 2001: a Space Odyssey, A Clockwork Orange, Barry Lyndon, The Shining, Full Metal Jacket and Eyes Wide Shut. Kubrick is unique in having documented every stage of his productions. His collection of objects and documents has been donated to the University of the Arts, London (UAL). It is a rich resource, featuring - scripts - research materials like books, magazines and location photographs. - set plans and production documents - call sheets, shooting schedules, continuity reports and continuity Polaroids. - props, costumes, poster designs, sound tapes and records - publicity press cuttings Specialist archivists from UAL will offer a bespoke intensive course in using the Kubrick Archive. These staff have expertise in the latest developments in both teaching and film history. They will both educate and inspire you. And of course, you will also experience Kubrick's London through a program of cultural activities, including visits to the great museums, theatrical events, architectural sites and other educational attractions London has to offer.
