Syllabus:

This course provides a survey of the legal and policy issues associated with the domestic and international legal regimes regulating commercial activities in, to and from space. It will provide an overview of the UN Space Treaties and the requirements imposed on States to implement and comply with international law with respect to all national space activities. It will examine domestic Australian space law and compare that to regimes in US, UK, New Zealand and other jurisdictions. It will also provide an overview of relevant commercial law issues such as technology transfer, non-disclosure agreements and contracts. It will address key issues of insurance and liability.
