Co-Requisite:	(PETROGEO 7010 and PETROGEO 7012 and PETROGEO 7013)
Assumed Knowledge:	Honours degree level training or equivalent in Geoscience.
Assessment:	Possible field trip assessment/report; in-class tests; quizzes; image log interpretation exercise; seismic acquisition, processing and advanced interpretation exercises; oral presentation; take-home end-of-course assessment (summative).
Syllabus:	PETROGEO 7011 builds on PETROGEO 7010 and covers advanced topics in sedimentology, stratigraphy, structural geology and geomechanics, seismic data acquisition and processing, seismic interpretation, image log interpretation, and geostatistics and machine learning. Emphasis is placed on the application of advanced techniques and concepts for the analysis and interpretation of subsurface sedimentary rock systems at a variety of scales relevant to exploration and production operations for both conventional and unconventional petroleum resources, resources for gas energy storage and by-product sequestration, water resources and geothermal resources.
